Well, friends. Let the literary festivities begin!
Release season for my new book, Reclaiming Quiet, opens today with a warm invitation to you to join my launch team. I will be honest: marking isn’t my strength and I find it arduous and sometimes distressing. But this time round, I’m genuinely excited about the projects I have planned to help this book into the world. I have a gracious and creative team, and a gifted, lovely friend who will be running my launch team as a literary fellowship. There is a gentleness, a delight, a reflective aspect to what we’re planning that I am so grateful for as this book that is so very much about those gracious qualities finds her feet.
So, you’re warmly invited to apply to join the Reclaiming Quiet Fellowship. Because the launch team this time requires some real engagement and discussion, we are taking applications to join the team from today.
How the Reclaiming Quiet Fellowship will work:
Each Monday, I will send you an email with your reading assignment from Reclaiming Quiet, a few questions to ponder, a weekly challenge to practice cultivating a life of holy attention, and an easy, simple way to help the message of the book reach the hearts of others. Throughout the week, we will discuss the book Substack, and each week on Wednesday at 8pm UK time, we will have a live call together from my vicarage in Oxford to ponder, explore, and process the book together. If you can’t make the live call, don’t worry! A recording will be sent out to you. At the end of the week, I’ll be giving away something special to one of those who participated and send you off with some free resources I designed just for this special fellowship.
Of course, one of the most important parts of a launch team for my publisher is having partners who will work to spread the message about the book and also leave a review for the book during launch week. If you can help me do those two things, I would so love to have you.
By joining the team you will receive:
A copy of Reclaiming Quiet: Cultivating a Life of Holy Attention (via NetGalley)
A live, weekly call with myself, and like-minded kindred spirits, to discuss the book as we read through it together.
Free resources to help the message of Reclaiming Quiet sink into your soul begin to help shape quiet spaces in your life.
A private, vibrant community (via a dedicated Substack) of fellow quiet-seekers looking to dwell in the kind of quiet that opens one up to the gift and wonder of the world.
Already applied! I let out a (quiet) whoop of joy.
Same here!!
